A few miles down the road, we got in the hills and got some relief from the wind. It rained on and off for most of the way.
You know you are close to Mexico when you pass a Border Patrol every few miles on Highway 90.
We are boondocking at the Pecos River High Bridge Rest Area in Comstock, Texas. Our campsite has a beautiful view of the high bridge and the river.
It was windy, sunny, with the temperature in the 70's when we arrived. What a difference a 183 miles makes.
This afternoon,we waited for the wind to die down so we could grill outside, again, that didn't happen. We watched a revised version of The Beverly Hillbillies on Roku.
Ferny Kat decided to check out the top of the bedroom slide, being it wasn't slid out. That Dang Cat can always find a new adventure.
The sunset was amazing tonight. We were also amazed as how many buzzards that can roost under the bridge.
